Tinggal tiga bulan je lagi untuk aku menamatkan Degree ni. Rasa teringin jugak nak sambung belajar ke tahap lebih tinggi lagi. Inshaallah mungkin bila financial status aku da stabil sikit nanti boleh la aku fikirkan semula untuk sambung belajar.
Matlamat aku satu je... Aku harap dengan wujudnya individu seperti aku ni dapat memberi inspirasi kepada anak-anak muda terutama generasi Melayu FELDA untuk terus berjuang dan bersaing demi memajukan diri dalam bidang pendidikan seterusnya bergelar sebagai profesional. Aku tak nak hidup aku terus rasa terkilan melihat anak bangsa dan generasi seterusnya tercicir dalam pelajaran.
Belajar la... Bukan susah pun... Hanya perlu kan sedikit demi sedikit pengorbanan je... Jangan terlalu ghairah berkawan dan akhirnya tersalah pilih kawan kelak diri sendiri yang merana...
"Cukup la ada SPM... Boleh kerja pun jadi la..." Please jangan sesekali terfikir macam ni. Cuba cari jalan untuk belajar ke peringkat lebih tinggi sekurang-kurangnya IJAZAH.
Tak susah pun sebenarnya untuk bergelar profesional atau pun untuk memiliki PhD, cuma kena ikut laluan yang betul je. Lepas SPM sambung ke Matrikulasi ataupun Diploma, seterusnya ke peringkat Ijazah Sarjana Muda, Master, dan PhD. Tinggal pilih je bidang apa yang dirasakan sesuai.
DIPLOMA IN CIVIL ENGINEERING
Diploma in Civil Engineering is offered by the Faculty of Civil Engineering, UiTM at campuses of Penang, Pahang and Sarawak. The first year of the Diploma programmes provides a comprehensive foundation in civil engineering science with courses such as Mathematics, Physics and computing. In the Second Year, emphasis is given to civil engineering course like Solid Mechanics, Structural Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Hydraulic, Soil Mechanics, Construction Materials and Basic Surveying. In the final year, each programme focuses more on courses related to the respective option.
After graduating with Diploma in Civil Engineering, candidates are qualified to work as technical assistants in public and private sector. Based on their technical and planning skills, graduates can also embark on entrepreneurial activities and start their own business. Alternatively, candidates can continue their studies and enrol in the Bachelor Degree programme offered by the faculty, local or overseas universities.
BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING (HONS.) CIVIL
Civil Engineering is a fast-moving, exciting and well paid profession. Civil engineers are responsible for imaging, designing, constructing and maintaining the physical infrastructure on which our modern economy is based. To fulfil the demand for competent Civil Engineers, the Faculty of Civil Engineers, UiTM offers Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) Civil. Courses offered in the programme will prepare students for a profession which creates the very fabric of our society. Students will be able to develop scientific, design, human resources and management expertise, and gain a sound knowledge of engineering principles, together with the ability to apply them to practical problems. The programme is further offered according to these specialisations: concrete, environmental, geotechnique, management, structure, water and transport.
The Faculty of Civil Engineering has been awarded accreditation by the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC) Malaysia. This is an indication of quality assurance and institutional excellence. The student can be confident that the university has met international criteria for qualified engineers. Upon graduation, it is prudent for an engineering graduate to register as a graduate engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia prior to employment as an engineer.
MASTER OF SCIENCE (BY COURSEWORK)
The Faculty of Civil Engineering, UiTM offers five postgraduate programmes at mastery level by taught course. The programmes are offered in two modes: full- and part-time. The minimum duration to finish the programmes is 1 year. The five master programmes are:
Master of Science in Structural Engineering
The aim of this programme is to produce graduates who are both skilled in structural engineering principles and have the ability to apply and solve complex, open-ended engineering works and problems. This programme has been designed to meet the needs of graduates involved in disciplines associated with the advanced design of engineering structures.
Master of Science in Geotechnical Engineering
The Geotechnical Engineering Masters of Science programme is a specialised field of research and applications within the larger framework of Civil Engineering. The courses presented cover the highly specialised theoretical soil mechanics, geotechnical engineering and soil-structure interaction to solve soil and foundation engineering problems. Graduates can augment their skills to increase their marketability in the related areas with the enhanced their knowledge and ability that they have acquired from this programme.
Master of Science in Water Resources Engineering
This programme is designed to broaden and enhance the understanding of water resources engineering through the integrative approach of teaching and research, focusing on key areas of interests. Graduates can enhance their employability in the related areas with the enhanced knowledge and ability that they have acquired from this programme.
Master of Science in Environmental Engineering
The programme aims to enhance the understanding of environmental engineering through teaching and research in key areas of interests while enhancing the ability to think critically and solve environmental engineering problems. Graduates can augment their skills to increase their marketability in related areas with the enhanced knowledge and ability that they have acquired from this programme.
Master of Science in Construction Engineering
This programme offers the student a myriad of exposure and opportunities in the construction industry. Graduates from the programme enter into areas of construction project management, consulting, and the pursuit of higher degree. Our programme is among the few Master Programmes conducted by coursework in Malaysia. Graduates of this programme have a variety of employment opportunities, including working for general contractors, developers, sub contractors, and construction management firms.
DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (CIVIL ENGINEERING)
The programme Doctor of Philosophy (Civil Engineering) is a three-year full-time research programme offered by the Faculty of Civil Engineering UiTM. Areas of research include: structural, geotechnical, environmental, water resources and construction. Students must complete a thesis of original work with significant contributions to the field of Civil Engineering at the end of the programme.
